NTPC Q3 net up over 10 per cent at Rs 2,861.28 crore

NEW DELHI: NTPC,  has  posted over 10 per cent jump in profit after tax at Rs 2,861.28 crore for the third quarter ended December 31, mainly due to higher electricity generation.
The company had reported a profit after tax of Rs 2,596.76 crore in the corresponding period of 2012-13, NTPC said in a statement. As per a company official, the rise in profit after tax can be attributed to higher PAF (plant availability factor) at its projects ..NTPC Board has announced an interim dividend of nearly Rs 3,300 crore.
