The first part capacity of 50 MW, and the second part capacity of 90 MW has already been declared on commercial operation w.e.f. 04.11.2023 and 09.04.2025 respectively.

New Delhi, July 31, 2025: NTPC Green Energy Ltd, a NTPC Limited’s wholly-owned subsidiary has declared the successful commissioning of third part capacity of 6 MW out of 150 MW of the Dayapar Wind Energy Project by its energy arm, NTPC Renewable Energy Ltd.
The company stated through exchange filing that consequent upon successful commissioning, the third-part capacity of 6 MW out of 150 MW Daya Par Wind Energy Project (Phase-I at Dayapar, Bhuj, Gujarat, under 450 MW Hybrid Project) of NTPC Renewable Energy Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Green Energy Limited, is declared on Commercial Operation w.e.f. 00:00 Hrs. of 31.07.2025.

Dayapar Wind is the first project of NTPC REL and the first capacity in India to be declared commercial under the new Indian Electricity Grid Code and General Network Access Regime.
Apart from Dayapar Wind, there are other 15 RE projects under different stages of execution, totalling to a capacity of 6,210 MW. Also, when fully commissioned, Dayapar Wind Complex will add 450 MW to NTPC’s existing wind portfolio of 100 MW.
