NTPC spearheading energy transition to make NTPC a “Sustainable Integrated Energy Company”
New Delhi. NTPC Bongaigaon today celebrated the 47th Raising Day of NTPC with zeal and enthusiasm at its administrative building premises.Shri Subrata Mandal, Executive Director,NTPC, Bongaigaon unfurled the NTPC flag followed by NTPC Geet and addressed the assembled employees. A cake cutting was also done by Shri Mandal in the presence of senior officials of the station and ladies Club members were also done to mark the occasion.
Tracing the growth and glorious legacy of NTPC, Shri Mandal recalled the contributions of the employees towards the making of the great organisation since 1975. Shri Mandal said with the total installed capacity of the company being 66,900 MW (including JVs), NTPC has set new benchmarks and registered the highest ever generation of 314 BUs, an increase of over 8% over previous year even as the country’s generation remained at the same level. He added that NTPC Bongaigaon achieved highest ever monthly PLF achieved 75.86% in April 2021 surpassing the previous best of 74.32% in March 2021 (after inception of three units). With regards to the challenge of Ash Utilization, we have achieved the highest ever daily utilization of 2189 MT on 19th April 2021. The highest ever monthly ash utilization of 42,583 MT was achieved in the same month in Apr '21, he added.
As a part of the celebrations, NTPC Bongaigaon felicitated 13 meritorious students at nearby schools of Class X and XII under Utkarsh scholarship policy of NTPC and handed over fruit bearing saplings to them
Shri Umesh Singh, GM (FM and Maintenance), Shri D P Patra, GM (Operations), Shri H.K.Brahma,Commandant, CISF, Bardwi Shikla Ladies Club Members, Departmental Heads, Colleagues and employees from various Depts., Unions and Associations, CISF attended the celebrations. A friendly football match was also held among the employees to celebrate the occasion -ED XI vs GM (O&M) XI to mark the occasion.
