NTPC to issue unsecured non-convertible debentures of Rs. 4,000 crore
NTPC issues Rs 4,000 crore unsecured non-convertible debentures on June 17, 2025, at 6.89% interest. These 10-year, 1-day debentures mature on June 18, 2035.
New Delhi: NTPC has decided to issue unsecured non-convertible debentures of Rs.4,000 crore on June 17, 2025, through private placement at a coupon of 6.89% p.a. for a tenor of 10 years 1 day, maturing on June 18, 2035, under the board resolution dated 29.06.2024 and subsequent approval obtained through shareholders’ resolution dated 29.08.2024.

This is the third issue of debentures under the above-mentioned approval.
The company in its BSE filing said, Proceeds will be utilized for, inter alia, funding of capital expenditure, refinancing of existing loans and other general corporate purposes. The debentures are proposed to be listed on NSE. Debenture Trust Deed will be duly executed as per the requirements of and within the period of time prescribed under the Companies Act and rules specified therein.
