NTPC to spent 700 Cr on R & M of Korba power plant
KORBA . NTPC will spent Rs 700 Cr on Renovation and Moderniasation of its Power Units . At present R & M program is under implementation for Unit No 3 and 4 . Next year this program will be taken up for Unit No 1, 2, 5 and 7 . Total work will be completed by Sept 2016. This was informed by Shri Prakash Tiwari , General Manager , NTPC Korba plant during the recent media interaction . He also mentioned that old units of NTPC Power Plant are operating over 90 % PLF ,because of its R&M Program.
He said that the proposal to set up 200 MW Solar power plant at its Ash Dyke has been sent for approval. NTPC Chairman Shri Arup Roy Choudhuary recently visited the site to explore the possibility for setting up of Solar plant at Ash dyke
