NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited Floats Major Tender for 7 MW Rooftop Solar Project for NALCO

New Delhi January 10, 2026,   NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam Limited NVVN a wholly owned subsidiary of NTPC Limited has issued a tender for the development of a 7 MW (7,000 kilowatt) rooftop solar power project for National Aluminium Company Limited NALCO at its industrial facilities in Angul and Damanjodi Odisha.

The project will be executed under the Engineering Procurement and Construction model and includes five years of operation and maintenance after commissioning. The tender process is being conducted through the Government of India GePNIC e procurement portal on a single stage two envelope basis covering both techno commercial and financial bids.

NALCO will finance the project through its own resources while NVVN will act as the Project Management Consultant responsible for bid evaluation supervision certification of work and quality control. All payments to the successful bidder will be released directly by NALCO.

This renewable energy initiative supports Indias clean energy goals and strengthens NALCOs long term sustainability strategy. The project is expected to significantly reduce carbon emissions and improve energy efficiency at NALCOs major production units.

Bidders must comply with key conditions including mandatory site visit submission of bid security of fifty lakh rupees and eligibility limited to Class I and Class II local suppliers as per Make in India norms. The selected contractor will also be responsible for maintaining the solar facility for five years after installation.

The NALCO NVVN solar project marks another important step in expanding Indias industrial renewable energy capacity and accelerating the countrys transition to sustainable power generation.
