Power Minister reviews meeting of power sector, including NTPC, NHPC, Powergrid, REC

New Delhi: Hon'ble Union Minister of Power and Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal, chaired a monthly review meeting of the power sector in New Delhi today. The meeting was attended by senior officials of the Ministry, including the Chairpersons and Managing Directors of NTPC Limited, NHPC Limited, Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, REC Limited, and other key organizations.
The discussions focused on actions taken on recommendations from the previous Prime Minister’s power sector review meeting, pending tasks, and the Ministry’s achievements during the financial year 2024–2025, including meeting record power demand, significantly reducing power shortages, and enhancing electricity generation and availability.
