The Ministry of Railways has approved a six-month extension in the deputation tenure of Shri Neeraj Gupta, an IRSME officer currently serving with IRCON International Ltd. as CGM/Mechanical.

According to the Railway Board order dated 27 November 2025, Shri Gupta’s deputation—originally sanctioned under earlier letters dated 22 March 2022, 31 May 2024, and 8 October 2024—has now been extended beyond the completion of his sixth year.

The revised tenure will now continue up to 02 March 2026, or until IRCON is exempted from the rule of immediate absorption, whichever is earlier.
The extension is subject to all existing terms and conditions, except that the officer will not be eligible for deputation (duty) allowance beyond the fifth year.

The order has been issued with the concurrence of the Finance Directorate of the Ministry of Railways and signed by Roshan Kumari Meena, Under Secretary, Railway Board.

A copy of the order has also been forwarded to the Principal Director of Audit (Northern Railway), Northern Railway Headquarters, IRCON International Ltd., and other senior authorities. The communication to IRCON also highlights the standard condition that if the officer does not return to Railways within one month after completion of deputation, it will be treated as relinquishment of Railway service.
