Great Eastern Shipping Company (G E Shipping) has contracted to purchase a 2015-built Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier of 81,843 DWT. The vessel will join its fleet by Q3 FY26, boosting its total capacity to 3.13 mn DWT.

According to the press release issued by the company, the Great Eastern Shipping Company Limited (G E Shipping) has contracted to buy a Kamsarmax Dry Bulk Carrier of about 81,843 dwt on July 25, 2025. The 2015 built vessel is expected to join the Company’s fleet by Q3 FY26.

The Company’s current owned fleet stands at 38 vessels, comprising 26 tankers (5 crude carriers, 17 product tankers, 4 LPG carriers) and 12 dry bulk carriers aggregating 3.04 mn dwt.

The proposed ship will be financed entirely from internal accruals. The purpose of the acquisition is modernization and expansion of the fleet.Post delivery of the vessel, we will have 39 vessels aggregating 3.13 mn dwt.
Currently, the shares are trading down up to -3.31 percent in the past five trading sessions. The dividend yield is at 3.12 percent and P/E ratio is at 5.81.
