SAIL General Manager Appointed as Director of SFCCL
Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has appointed Shri S. Thirumalai Selvam, General Manager at SAIL, as the new Director of Projects for Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited (SMFCL).
New Delhi, 9 September 2025: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Ports, Shipping and Waterways for the appointment of Shri S. Thirumalai Selvam, General Manager, Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), to the post of Director (Projects), Sagarmala Finance Corporation Limited (SMFCL) {erstwhile Sagarmala Development Company Limited (SDCL)} with effect from the date of his assumption of charge of the post till the date of his superannuation, i.e., 30.06.2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
In May 2025, the PESB recommended the name of Shri S. Thirumalai Selvam from the pool of 11 candidates.
