PESB Calls for Applicants to Head BVFCL’s Operations — Here’s What You Need to Know

The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has invited applications for the position of Director (Production) at Brahmaputra Valley Fertilizer Corporation Limited (BVFCL), which is a Schedule ‘B’ Central Public Sector Enterprise under the Department of Fertilizers, Ministry of Chemicals and Fertilizers.

According to the notification, the Director (Production) will be a member of the Board of Directors and will report to the Chairman and Managing Director. The role includes overseeing plant operations, ensuring optimal use of resources, and providing advice to the company on all production and operational issues.

Eligible candidates must be engineering graduates with a strong academic background, preferably holding an MBA or PGDM. They should also have senior-level operational experience, including at least five years in major fertilizer, chemical, or petrochemical production units within the last ten years.

The position offers a pay scale of Rs 65,000 to Rs 75,000, and the appointment will last for five years or until retirement, whichever comes first.

The deadline for submitting applications is 15 September 2025 at 3:00 PM. Applications can be forwarded by nodal officers until 24 September 2025 at 5:00 PM.

BVFCL, established in 2002, is a 100% Government of India-owned enterprise based in Namrup, Assam. It is involved in the production of urea fertilizer.
