PESB Invites Applications for Director (HR) at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL)

NEW DELHI:— The Public Enterprises Selection Board (PESB) has officially invited applications for the position of Director (Human Resources) at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL). A Schedule ‘A’ Navratna Company under the Ministry of Defence, BEL is a global leader in strategic electronics and R&D-led indigenous technology.

The vacancy is set to occur on April 1, 2026. The selected candidate will join the Board of Directors, reporting directly to the Chairman and Managing Director (CMD), and will play a pivotal role in shaping the human capital strategy for BEL’s 8,800+ strong workforce.

The Role: Director (Human Resources)

The Director (HR) is responsible for the overall management of human resources, industrial relations, and organizational development. Key responsibilities include:

• Strategic Alignment: Evolving HR policies to align with BEL’s organizational strategy and business objectives.

• Culture Building: Nurturing an organizational culture focused on continuous learning, dynamism, and positive work ethics.

• Employee Relations: Maintaining harmonious industrial relations across BEL’s nine production units.

Eligibility & Qualifications

PESB has outlined stringent eligibility criteria for candidates from CPSEs, Central Government (Group ‘A’ Officers), Armed Forces, and the Private Sector:

• Age: Minimum 45 years.

• Qualification: Graduate with a good academic record. Post Graduate Degree/Diploma in HR/Personnel Management or an MBA/PGDM is highly desirable. Engineering degrees are preferred.

• Experience: Minimum five years of cumulative experience in HR, Personnel Management, or Industrial Relations over the last decade. Experience in Defence, Aerospace, or Heavy Engineering is a plus.

• Pay Scale: The post carries a scale of ₹1,80,000 – ₹3,40,000 (IDA).
