The Board approved the change in the company’s Internal Auditor, with Mr. Varun Kumar assuming the role from February 6, 2026, while Mr. Saurav Ganguly will transition to a new business role within the organization.
Mr. Varun Kumar, aged 43, brings over 20 years of experience in internal auditing and risk management. He has been a part of ICICI Bank’s leadership team as Head – Risk Audit, handling internal audits across multiple functions, including ICICI Bank UK. Mr. Kumar is a qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI, 2005) and holds the Financial Risk Management (FRM) certification from GARP (2014) and the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) certification from the CFA Institute, USA (2019).
The Board emphasized that this leadership change is part of the company’s strategy of strengthening the leadership team through periodic rotation of key roles, ensuring robust governance and risk management.
