WCL Recruitment 2026: Online applications invited for 444 statutory posts; details inside

NAGPUR, JULY 04: Western Coalfields Limited (WCL), a Miniratna Category-1 Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) under the Ministry of Coal, has issued a fresh recruitment notification for regular appointment to statutory technical and supervisory posts. The subsidiary of Coal India Limited is inviting applications from eligible Indian nationals through online mode only.

According to the official notification, the recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 444 vacancies across its 10 operational areas spanning Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh.

WCL Vacancy Details and Pay Scale 2026

The recruitment is open for Technical & Supervisory (T&S) Grade-C posts with an initial basic pay of Rs. 47,330.25 per month. The post-wise vacancy breakdown is detailed below:

• Mining Sirdar (T&S Grade-C): 220 Vacancies (UR-101, EWS-22, SC-24, ST-38, OBC-35)

• Assistant Foreman (Trainee) (Electrical) / Electrical Supervisor (T&S Grade-C): 224 Vacancies (UR-91, EWS-22, SC-26, ST-29, OBC-56)

Note: Horizontal reservations for Ex-Servicemen (ESM) and Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PwBD) will apply as per Government of India norms.

Selection Process & Key Highlights

• Mode of Selection: The final selection of candidates will be strictly based on the marks scored in a Computer Based Test (CBT).

• Age & Reservation: Age relaxation and reservation policy will follow the official guidelines issued by the Government of India.

• Provisional Vacancies: WCL management reserves the right to increase or decrease the number of positions at its discretion.
