New Delhi: Shri Prasanna Kumar Motupalli, Chairman and Managing Director, NLC India Limited, has been conferred the "M. S. Swaminathan Green Excellence Award" during the M. S. Swaminathan Birth Centenary Celebrations held today, on 05.12.2025, at the K. L. N. Prasad Auditorium, FTCCI, Hyderabad. The recognition marks a proud milestone for the nation's energy and mining sector and celebrates Shri Motupalli's visionary leadership in advancing sustainable and environment-friendly growth.


The award was presented as part of the International Conference on Green Technologies, Power, and Future (ICGTPF) 4.0, acknowledging Shri Motupalli's remarkable contributions towards India's transition to clean energy. Under his dynamic stewardship, NLC India Ltd has significantly accelerated renewable capacity expansion, decarbonisation initiatives, responsible mining practices, and environmental conservation measures.

The event was graced by Shri Jishnu Dev Varma, Hon'ble Governor of Telangana, who presided as the Chief Guest and delivered an inspiring address underscoring the role of sustainability and technological innovation in driving national development. The conference also featured deliberations by distinguished experts, industry leaders and academics.


In his acceptance message, Shri Motupalli dedicated the honour to the entire NLC India family, reaffirming the organisation's commitment to environmentally responsible growth with a people-centric approach, in line with India's clean-energy ambitions and global sustainability goals.


Shri Gareth Wynn Owen, Deputy High Commissioner of UK to Andhra Pradesh & Telangana and other dignitaries from Government of Telangana also participated in the event.
