NTPC supports 4th NTPC Khelo India National Ranking for Women Archery

NTPC Northern Region Headquarters supported the 4th NTPC Khelo India National Ranking for Women Archery Tournament, held from February 28 to March 1, 2026, at KD Singh Babu Stadium, Lucknow.

Organised by the Uttar Pradesh Archery Federation under the leadership of Shri Avnish Kumar Awasthi,(IAS) Chief Advisor to Honourable Chief Minister, UP & President ,UP Archery Association, the tournament saw participation from 266 women archers across the country.

The event was inaugurated by Smt Baby Rani Maurya, Cabinet Minister for Women Welfare, Child Development & Nutrition, Uttar Pradesh along with  Paralympic,  Shri Suhas LY ,(IAS) , Secretary for the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare ,UP Govt in the presence of Shri S. N. Panigrahi, CGM, NTPC NRHQ. The Minister highlighted India’s rich archery tradition and encouraged athletes to draw inspiration from Rani Lakshmi Bai.

CGM (HR) Panigrahi reaffirmed NTPC’s commitment to promoting archery nationwide through its CSR initiatives. During the closing ceremony, prizes were presented by Shri Arjun Munda , President ,Archery Association of India  and Padmashri Folk Singer ,Smt Malini Awasthi. Dignitaries appreciated NTPC’s support in promoting archery at national and international levels.

Participation of Paralympics medallists Shri Harvinder Singh & Miss Sheetal Devi added inspiration to the event, reaffirming the importance of the Khelo India Games.
