NTPC Vindhyachal conferred with WSO Platinum Award 2025 in Five-Star Category

New Delhi, October 14, 2025: NTPC Vindhyachal has been conferred the prestigious World Safety Organization (WSO) Platinum Award 2025 in the Five-Star Category at a ceremony held in Mumbai on 14th October, 2025.

Shri Sanjib Kumar Saha, CGM (Vindhyachal) and Shri Ashish Agrawal, AGM (Safety), received the award from Shri GMEK Raj, Director General (Retd.), DGFASLI, Ministry of Labour & Employment and Uwe Georg Fischer, Managing Director, Zahoransky Mould and Machine, Germany.

The award recognizes NTPC Vindhyachal’s exemplary commitment to Safety, Health and Environment (SHE) excellence. As India’s largest thermal power station, Vindhyachal ensures a safe and efficient workplace for over 850 employees and 8,000 contract workers through robust systems, proactive risk management and continuous training.

Recognized among the ‘Excellent Category’ globally, following a rigorous evaluation of over 1,200 industries, this honor reaffirms Vindhyachal’s leadership in fostering a “Zero Harm” culture and setting new benchmarks in workplace safety and environmental stewardship.
