In his keynote address, Shri Gupta emphasized the critical role of India’s manufacturing sector in propelling national GDP growth and creating large-scale employment opportunities. He highlighted how technological advancements and digitalization have transformed project execution, enabling the completion of mega projects within 36–42 months, a milestone that was once considered beyond reach.

Commending L&T and other Indian firms for their world-class capabilities, he lauded the achievement of indigenously manufacturing nearly 95% of complex and precision equipment for refinery and petrochemical projects—an outstanding contribution to the Government of India’s “Make in India” initiative and the country’s march toward self-reliance in manufacturing.

Looking ahead, Shri Gupta underscored the need to develop indigenous capabilities for the manufacturing of heavy-duty gas turbines, compressors, cold boxes, and extruders, which are currently imported. He urged the industry to accelerate investments in R&D and embrace rapid technology adoption to position India at the forefront of global manufacturing excellence.

Shri Gupta concluded his address by extending his best wishes for a successful and impactful Technology Meet and encouraged continued innovation and collaboration among industry stakeholders to realize the vision of a self-reliant, technologically advanced India.
