Shri Ananjay Kumar Tiwary Repatriated to Parent Cadre from Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation

New Delhi, 12 March 2026: The Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) has approved the premature repatriation of Shri Ananjay Kumar Tiwary, IRS (IT:2012), currently serving as Director in the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation, to his parent cadre on personal grounds.

The approval includes the provision of “extended cooling-off”, and Shri Tiwary has been relieved of his duties immediately to report to his parent cadre. The decision was formalized under Office Memorandum F.No. 09/25/2022-EO (MM-I) dated 12 March 2026, following a proposal submitted by the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation.

Copies of the OM have been shared with the Cabinet Secretariat, Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances & Pensions, and relevant DoPT offices to ensure smooth administrative coordination.

Shri Tiwary, an IRS officer of the 2012 batch (Income Tax cadre), has served in key roles across government departments and played a significant role in administrative and policy functions within the Department of Drinking Water & Sanitation.
