West Bengal, September 30, 2025: Bank of Baroda organised a Mega Camp on 25th September 2025 in Duttapukur, West Bengal, under the Financial Inclusion Saturation Drive by the Department of Financial Services (DFS), Ministry of Finance, Government of India, running from July 1 to September 30, 2025.

The event saw over 600 villagers actively participating, showcasing the increasing need for financial literacy and accessible banking services in rural areas.

The program was graced by the esteemed presence of Shri Sudhanshu Prasad, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India; Shri Sanjay Kumar Tiwary, General Manager & Zonal Head, Kolkata Zone, Bank of Baroda; Shri Balbir Singh, General Manager & Convenor, SLBC (West Bengal), Punjab National Bank; Shri Sandeep Kumar, Deputy General Manager & Regional Head, Greater Kolkata Region, Kolkata Zone, Bank of Baroda - along with senior officials from the banking fraternity and government departments.

The camp provided an opportunity for local communities to access essential financial services, including the opening of new accounts under Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), as well as enrolling in key social security schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), and Atal Pension Yojana (APY).

Re-KYC drives were conducted for eligible inactive savings accounts under PMJDY, supported by awareness sessions on preventing digital fraud and facilitating claims for unclaimed deposits. Banking Correspondent (BC) Points were established during the initiative. Additionally, cheques were handed over to the families of deceased insured members under the Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY) and Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY).

This Mega Camp underscores Bank of Baroda’s commitment to inclusive financial empowerment and supporting the Government of India’s vision for financial inclusion.
