Central Bank of India Signs MoU for Uttarakhand Government Salary Accounts
New Delhi, February 19, 2026: Central Bank of India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Uttarakhand to facilitate the opening of salary accounts for state government employees.
The agreement marks a significant step toward streamlining salary disbursement and expanding banking access for government staff across the state. Under the MoU, eligible Uttarakhand government employees will be able to open dedicated salary accounts with Central Bank of India and avail associated banking benefits.
The MoU was signed by Shri Shishram Tundwal, Zonal Head (Delhi), Central Bank of India, and Ms. Amita Joshi, Director, Treasury Nideshalaya, Uttarakhand.
The signing ceremony was facilitated by Shri Rampramod Anand, Regional Head, Dehradun Regional Office, in the presence of Additional Secretaries Shri Harsingh Baunal and Shri Mohammad Gulfam Ahmad.
Strengthening Banking Access for State Employees
Through this partnership, Central Bank of India will provide tailored salary account services, which may include digital banking facilities, debit card services, net and mobile banking access, and other employee-focused financial products as per bank norms.
Officials said the collaboration is aimed at improving the efficiency of salary processing while offering convenient and secure banking solutions to Uttarakhand government personnel.
The agreement is expected to enhance the bank’s footprint in the state while ensuring smoother treasury operations for the Uttarakhand government.
Expanding Public Sector Outreach
Central Bank of India, one of India’s leading public sector banks, continues to strengthen its institutional banking partnerships with government departments and public bodies. The latest MoU aligns with its broader strategy to deepen engagement with salaried customers and government institutions.
