ACC Approves Premature Repatriation of IAS Officer Prajakta L. Verma
New Delhi Feb 19: The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the premature repatriation of senior IAS officer Ms. Prajakta L. Verma (MH:2001) from the Department of Atomic Energy to her parent cadre in Maharashtra.
The decision was conveyed through an official order issued by the Secretariat of the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet under the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions, Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT), on February 19, 2026.
According to the communication, the Competent Authority cleared the proposal submitted by the Department of Atomic Energy seeking Ms. Verma’s early return to her state cadre. The repatriation has been approved to enable her to avail the benefit of promotion in her parent cadre.
Ms. Verma was serving as Joint Secretary in the Department of Atomic Energy prior to this decision.
The approval follows a reference from the Department of Atomic Energy dated February 2, 2026. The official communication confirming the move was issued under file number 27/13/2026-EO(SM-I).
The order has been circulated to key offices including the Prime Minister’s Office, Cabinet Secretariat, Chief Secretary of Maharashtra, and other relevant authorities.
