In a significant step towards deepening customer engagement and promoting linguistic inclusivity, Indian Overseas Bank has unveiled a new Tamil-language basic PIN generation portal,” Akshara” designed to offer users a seamless and user-friendly experience. This initiative aims to provide customers with a more secure method for creating and managing their PINs for their debit /credit card and mobile apps.
Traditional PINs, often based on easily guessable information like birthdates or sequential numbers, pose security risks. Recognizing this, Indian Overseas Bank's new portal allows users to generate PINs using Tamil words or phrases that are personally meaningful yet difficult for fraudsters to predict.
