SBI Cards Appoints Amit Batra as EVP & Chief Strategy Officer Effective July 2026
Gurugram, April 1, 2026: SBI Cards and Payment Services Limited has announced a key change in its senior management team. Mr. Amit Batra has been appointed as Executive Vice President (EVP) & Chief Strategy Officer, effective July 1, 2026, following approval from the company’s Board of Directors.
This appointment was made based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee, in accordance with Regulations 30 and 51 of the SEBI (Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements) Regulations, 2015. About Mr. Amit Batra:
Mr. Batra brings nearly 30 years of extensive experience across strategy, operations, sales, ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance), and business transformation. Before this appointment, he served as Chief Operating Officer at TransUnion CIBIL India, leading enterprise transformation initiatives focused on sustainable growth, operational resilience, and regulatory compliance.
His career also spans leadership roles at SBI Card, GE Capital, Star TV, EQUUS Advertising, Modi Telstra, and the Taj Group of Hotels. Mr. Batra holds a Master Black Belt in Lean Six Sigma, is an alumnus of INSEAD, and a graduate of the Institute of Hotel Management, Kolkata.
