State Bank of India Announces Superannuation of DMD Jayati Bansal

State Bank of India has informed the stock exchanges that Ms Jayati Bansal, Deputy Managing Director of the International Banking Group, has superannuated from the services of the bank with effect from the close of business on December 31, 2025.

The disclosure was made in compliance with Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015, under the provisions relating to change in senior management. The communication was sent to both BSE Limited and the National Stock Exchange of India Limited, where the bank is listed under scrip code 500112 on BSE and SBIN on NSE.

Ms Jayati Bansal is also Chairman and Director of the Board of Directors at State Bank of India California (SBIC). In her role as Deputy Managing Director of the International Banking Group at SBI, she has been responsible for group strategy, international business development, operational efficiency, and several other key functions.

She oversaw an international banking network comprising 244 offices across 29 countries and managed a business portfolio exceeding 73 billion US dollars, making her one of the most influential leaders in India’s global banking operations.

With over 33 years of banking experience, Ms Bansal has held diverse leadership roles spanning Operations, Credit, Treasury, the Financial Institution Group, International Banking, and multiple strategic verticals.

Earlier in her career, she undertook three major overseas assignments with the bank at SBI Frankfurt, SBI New York, and as Regional Head of East Asia operations in Hong Kong, where she significantly strengthened the bank’s international presence.

Ms Bansal holds an MBA, a Master’s degree in English Literature, and is a Certified Associate of the Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB).

Her retirement marks the conclusion of a distinguished leadership journey that played a defining role in shaping SBI’s global footprint.
