ACC appoints Special Director General officials in Ministry of Home Affairs

New Delhi, 29 September 2025:The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the proposal of the Ministry of Home Affairs for:

a. Appointment of Shri Zaki Ahmad, IPS (UP:1993), IG, CRPF, as Special Director General, CRPF (Level-16 in the pay matrix) from the date of assumption of charge of the post and till the date of his superannuation, i.e., 31.03.2028, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

b. Appointment of Shri Raja Srivastava, IPS (UP:1994), ADG, CRPF, as Special Director General, CRPF (Level-16 in the pay matrix) from the date of assumption of charge of the post and till the date of his superannuation, i.e., 28.02.2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

c. Appointment of Shri Amit Kumar, IPS (BH:1994), ADG, CRPF, as Special Director General, CRPF (Level-16 in the pay matrix), from the date of assumption of charge of the post and till date of his superannuation, i.e., 31.10.2030, or until further orders, whichever is earlier;

d. Appointment of Shri Mahesh Kumar Aggarwal, IPS (TN:1994), ADG, BSF, as Special Director General, BSF (Level-16 in the pay matrix) from the date of assumption of charge of the post and till the date of his superannuation, i.e., 31.03.2032, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

e. Appointment of (i) Shri Apte Vinayak Prabhakar, IPS (TG:1994), (ii) Shri Manmeet Singh Narang, IPS (MP:1994), and (iii) Shri Anurag Kumar, IPS (AGMUT:1994), Addl. Director, IB, as Special Director (Level-16 in the pay matrix), IB, on an in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the posts of Addl. Director held by them for a tenure of two years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.

f. Appointment of Shri Rakesh Aggarwal, IPS (HP:1994), ADG, NIA, as Special Director General (Level-16 in the pay matrix) in NIA on in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer for a tenure of two years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier;

g. Appointment of Ms. Anupama Nilekar Chandra, IPS (BH:1994), ADG, SSB,, as Special Director General (Level-16 in the pay matrix) in SSB on in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer for a tenure of two years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier; and

h. Appointment of Shri Deepak Kumar, IPS (AM:1994), ADG, CRPF, as Special Director General (Level-16 in the pay matrix) in CRPF on an in-situ basis by temporarily upgrading the post held by the officer for a tenure of two years from the date of assumption of charge of the post or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
