ACC approves extension of Shri Punya Salila Srivastava as Chairperson of FSSAI

The Central Government has extended the additional charge of the post of Chairperson of FSSAI for a period of six months.

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the following:

1- Ex-post facto assignment of additional charge of the post of Chairperson, Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) to the following officers for the period as mentioned against their names:

 (a) Shri Rajesh Bhushan, the then Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, 28.11.2021 to 31.07.2023

(b) Shri Sudhansh Pant, the then Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, 01.08.2023 to 30.12.2023

(c) Shri Apurva Chandra, the then Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, 31.12.2023 to 30.09.2024

 (d) Ms. Punya Salila Srivastava, Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare, 01.10.2024 to 31.07.2025

Therefore, the government has extended the additional charge of the post of Chairperson, FSSAI to Ms. Punya Salila Srivastava, Secretary, Department of Health and Family Welfare for a further period of 06 months w.e.f. 01.08.2025, or till the regular incumbent joins the post, or until further orders, whichever is the earliest.
