Centre approves major official appointments and recommendations

The government has approved some recommendations and appointments of high officials in the different ministries.

New Delhi, 21 May 2025: The government has approved some recommendations and appointments of high officials in the different ministries. Here to Know:

The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet has approved the extension of tenure of Shri Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, Secretary, Ministry of AYUSH, on a contract basis for a period of one year beyond 28.06.2025, i.e., up to 28.06.2026, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, on existing terms and conditions.

Additionally, the centre has approved the proposal for the appointment of Shri Tam boli Ayyaj Fakirbhai, lAS (CG:2009), presently working as Director, Cabinet Secretariat, as Joint Secretary, Cabinet Secretariat, for an overall tenure of 5 years up to 20.03.2029, or until further orders, whichever is earlier, vice Shri M.S. Srikar, lAS (KN:1999).

Further, the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has approved the following proposals:

Curtailment of tenure of Shri Rituraj Misra, IRPS (2010), Director in the Ministry of Ports, Shipping & Waterways under the Central Staffing Scheme; and

Appointment of Shri Rituraj Misra, IRPS (2010) as Private Secretary to the Minister of State for Coal & Mines (Shri Satish Chandra Dubey) in the Ministry of Coal at the level of Director with effect from the date of assumption of the charge of the post for a period up to 30.03.2028 (i.e., combined tenure of 07 years on CSS & PS posts put together) or on co-terminus basis with the Minister or till he ceases to function as Private Secretary to the Minister or until further orders, whichever event occurs the earliest.
