Former Cabinet Secretary, Rajiv Gauba to join as new Member, NITI Aayog
Rajiv Gauba begins his new role as the fourth member at Aayog along with Dr Vijay Kumar Saraswat, Prof Ramesh Chand and Dr Vinod Paul.

Rajiv Gauba (Retd IAS: 1982: JH), former union cabinet secretary has been appointed as the new Member, NITI Aayog (National Institution for Transforming India) in the rank of Minister of State. He has been given Y-category security cover.
NITI Aayog is the highest think-tank of the Government of India. Over the previous thirty years, Rajiv Gauba has held significant responsibilities in Bihar, Jharkhand as well as Union Home Secretary and Union Cabinet Secretary. Before his appointment as Union Secretary for Housing & Urban Affairs, he worked as Chief Secretary, Jharkhand.
