Government appoints two IAS officers as Additional Secretary in PMO

The Union Government on Tuesday has appointed Ashish Vachhani (IAS: 1997: TN) and M S Srikar (IAS: 1999: KN) as Additional Secretary in Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) on a lateral shift basis up to completion of deputation tenure or until further orders, whichever is earlier. 

Shri Srikar has been shifted from the Cadre to replace Puneet Kansal (IAS: 1996: SK) in the Cabinet Secretariat and Shri Vachhani has been in the Department of Economic Affairs (DEA) as Additional Secretary (Budget). 

Meanwhile, Vachhani and Srikar replace Arvind Shrivastava (IAS: 1994: KN) and Hari Ranjan Rao (lAS: 1994: MP) where latter were recently appointed as Revenue Secretary and Sports Secretary respectively.
