IPS Officer Parag Jain to serve as Secretary in Research & Analysis Wing
IPS officer Parag Jain appointed as RAW Secretary for a two-year tenure by the Appointments Committee of the Cabinet.

Shri Parag Jain, an IPS Officer of 1989 batch of Punjab Cadre has been appointment to the post of Secretary at Research & Analysis Wing (R&AW) under the Cabinet Secretariat by the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet.
The appointment has been made for the tenure of two years from the date of assumption of the charge of the post or until further orders whichever is earlier in terms of provisions of FR 56(d) and Rule 16(1A) of All India Services (Death-cum-Retirement Benefits) Rules, 1958.

Parag Jain is a seasoned Indian bureaucrat and IPS officer and is currently serving as the Secretary of Research and Analysis Wing from 1 July 2025 onwards. He played a crucial role in the Operation Sindoor, which was launched by India in May 2025.
