BPCL Organises Health Camp and Nutrition Drive for 250 Sanitation Workers in Chennai
Reinforcing its commitment to community well-being and public health, Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL) organised a Health Camp and Nutrition Awareness Programme for 250 sanitation workers in Chennai as part of its Swachhata Pakhwada initiative. The programme was conducted in collaboration with Apollo Hospitals, with support from The Times of India and Comunitree.
The initiative was designed to recognise the invaluable contribution of sanitation workers while promoting preventive healthcare and healthier lifestyles among those who play a crucial role in maintaining urban cleanliness and public hygiene.
As part of the programme, 250 sanitation workers underwent preventive health check-ups, received medical consultations, participated in nutrition awareness sessions, and were provided with nutrition kits to encourage balanced dietary habits and long-term wellness. The initiative focused on early health screening, awareness about lifestyle-related health risks, and improving overall physical well-being.
By combining healthcare services with nutrition education, BPCL sought to empower sanitation workers with practical knowledge and resources that can help improve their quality of life.
