GAIL Observes Swachhata Pakhwada 2026 with Nationwide Cleanliness and Community Awareness Drives

New Delhi, July 10, 2026: GAIL (India) Limited is observing Swachhata Pakhwada 2026 across its operational locations, reinforcing its commitment to cleanliness, environmental sustainability, and community participation. The fortnight-long campaign brings together employees, local communities, educational institutions, and civic stakeholders under a shared objective of promoting cleaner surroundings and responsible environmental practices.

The initiative is centered on transforming the message of cleanliness into meaningful action through a series of activities focused on hygiene, waste management, environmental conservation, and public awareness.

Cleanliness Drives Across Multiple States

As part of the Swachhata Pakhwada campaign, GAIL teams are conducting a wide range of programmes, including cleanliness drives, waste segregation initiatives, plantation activities, health and hygiene awareness campaigns, school outreach programmes, creative competitions, and community engagement events.

The activities are being organized across several locations, including:

• Rajahmundry, Kondapalli, Kadiyam, Jegurupadu, Decherla and Dommeru in Andhra Pradesh

• Vijaipur in Madhya Pradesh

• Ranchi in Jharkhand

• Jaipur and Abu Road in Rajasthan

• Chennai in Tamil Nadu

Radio Campaigns Expand Public Awareness

In addition to on-ground activities, GAIL has launched FM radio awareness campaigns across the districts of East Godavari, West Godavari, and Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Konaseema in Andhra Pradesh.

The campaigns are designed to spread messages on cleanliness, hygiene, environmental responsibility, and citizen participation, helping extend the reach of the Swachhata Pakhwada initiative beyond GAIL's operational locations.
