ONGC CSR Programme Trains Tribal Youth in Firefighting, Achieves 100% Job Placement

Ahmedabad, March 13, 2026L: Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) has successfully supported 25 youth from tribal and underprivileged communities through a six-month residential firefighting training programme under its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative.

The programme was conducted at Rashtriya Raksha University in Lavad, Gujarat, and focused on providing specialised skills in fire safety and emergency response.

Skill Training for Industry-Ready Careers

During the intensive six-month programme, participants underwent rigorous training in:

• Fire safety management

• Emergency response operations

• Industrial firefighting techniques

The training was designed to equip participants with industry-ready skills, enabling them to pursue careers in safety and emergency services across industrial sectors.

100% Placement for Trainees

In a significant outcome, all 25 trainees secured employment after completing the programme, with several participants receiving multiple job offers.

The initiative has created new livelihood opportunities for youth from underserved communities, bringing renewed confidence and financial stability to their families.

₹27.5 Lakh Investment Under CSR

The training programme was supported by an investment of ₹27.5 lakh under the CSR initiative of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation Ahmedabad Asset.
