Ahmedabad, February 18, 2026 – India’s Adani Ports & SEZ (APSEZ) has signed a landmark MoU with France’s Port of Marseille Fos, aiming to boost trade connectivity along the India–Middle East–Europe Corridor (IMEC).

This partnership comes as India strengthens ties with Europe following the India–EU Free Trade Agreement, creating faster, greener, and more reliable trade routes.

What this partnership means:

  • Seamless trade: APSEZ’s ports at Mundra & Hazira now connect directly with Marseille Fos, forming a continuous trade corridor from India to Europe.

  • Sustainable shipping: Focus on green maritime practices, including low-carbon fuels and shore power.

  • Smart ports & tech: Exchange of knowledge on digital port operations, cybersecurity, and smart logistics systems.

  • Collaboration platform: Launch of IMEC Ports Club to coordinate all corridor ports and policies.

Ashwani Gupta, CEO of APSEZ, said:
"This MoU completes the India-Europe trade link. It will speed up cargo movement, strengthen supply chains, and open new economic opportunities for both regions."

Hervé Martel, CEO of Marseille Fos, added:
"India and Marseille are at the ends of this future trade backbone. Together, we will make trade faster, greener, and more resilient."

Why it matters:
