NALCO Signs MoU with Numaligarh Refinery for CP Coke Supply

New Delhi: February 17, 2026: National Aluminium Company Limited (NALCO) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Numaligarh Refinery Limited (NRL), under the aegis of the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas, Government of India, for the procurement of 40,000 metric tons per annum (MT p.a.) of Calcined Petroleum Coke (CP Coke) – a critical raw material for aluminium production.

The agreement, formalized in Guwahati, strengthens indigenous supply chains and ensures raw material security for NALCO’s operations, contributing to the company’s ongoing focus on Operational Excellence.

By sourcing CP Coke domestically, NALCO aims to reduce dependence on imports, enhance production efficiency, and reinforce self-reliance in the aluminium sector. This partnership marks a strategic milestone in India’s efforts to promote sustainable, homegrown industrial supply chains.
