RLDA Recruitment 2026 Vacancy for Joint General Manager and Deputy General Manager Civil in Chandigarh

New Delhi: Rail Land Development Authority RLDA a statutory authority under the Ministry of Railways Government of India has issued Vacancy Notice Number 02 of 2026 inviting applications to fill senior level civil engineering posts on deputation basis.

According to the official notification dated 8 January 2026 RLDA is seeking applications for the post of Joint General Manager Civil and Deputy General Manager Civil. One vacancy has been notified for the Chandigarh location. However the authority clarified that manpower requirement may vary as RLDA projects are currently being developed across multiple cities including Delhi Mumbai Chennai Lucknow Nagpur Secunderabad and other locations across India.

The selected officers will be appointed on normal deputation terms for a period of five years which includes an initial term of three years extendable by two additional years subject to approval by the Vice Chairman of RLDA.

Eligibility conditions differ for both posts. For Joint General Manager Civil candidates must be working on analogous posts or be Group A officers in Pay Level 13 or Level 12 from the Civil Engineering cadre of Indian Railways Central Government State Government PSUs or statutory authorities with at least nine years of Group A service. For Deputy General Manager Civil applicants must be Group A or Group B Gazetted officers in Pay Level 12 or Level 11 with a degree in civil engineering and minimum six years of service or a diploma in civil engineering with fifteen years of experience.

RLDA has listed desirable qualifications including experience in land and estate planning and execution land management tendering processes and computer knowledge.

The authority also highlighted the attractive perks and allowances offered to officers including railway accommodation railway passes transport allowances official vehicle facility medical benefits lease facility soft furnishing allowance electricity allowance and caretaker allowance.
