Dedicated Animal Rescue Ambulance to Strengthen Public Health in Ranchi

Under CSR Project “Karuna”, CMPDIL will support the deployment of a fully dedicated Animal Rescue Ambulance aimed at enhancing animal birth control and anti-rabies vaccination efforts within the Ranchi Municipal Area.

The ambulance will enable WVS HOPE to respond promptly to calls from the public, CMPDIL, Ranchi Municipal Corporation, and other concerned agencies for sterilisation and vaccination drives.

Focus on Stray Dog Population Management and Rabies Prevention

The initiative adopts an integrated and scientific approach to managing stray dog populations. Through systematic sterilisation and anti-rabies vaccination programmes, the project aims to:

• Reduce stray dog population growth
• Prevent rabies transmission
• Improve urban public health safety
• Promote humane animal welfare practices

By combining mobility, medical support, and coordinated outreach, the project strengthens Ranchi’s preventive healthcare framework.
