By integrating LNG capabilities directly into a high-traffic multimodal terminal, the initiative addresses the critical need for robust green fuel infrastructure.
Key Highlights of the Facility:
-
Round-the-Clock Operations: The LNG station will operate 24/7 to prevent logistical bottlenecks and ensure seamless supply chain movements.
-
Open-Market Access: While the facility will serve CONCOR’s dedicated logistics fleet, it will also be accessible to open-market commercial vehicles, expanding the footprint of LNG adoption in the region.
-
Commercial Viability Guaranteed: CONCOR’s commitment to deploying 15 LNG-powered vehicles immediately in the first contract year ensures a baseline demand, securing the economic feasibility of the project from day one.
Strategic Impact: Establishing LNG infrastructure within major logistics hubs like ICD Khodiyar not only reduces the carbon footprint of freight transport but also optimizes fuel economics for heavy-duty commercial fleets operating across the vital Delhi-Mumbai industrial corridor.
