IGL Signs JV with CEID for Compressed Bio Gas & Biofuel Projects
Indraprastha Gas Limited enters a 50:50 Joint Venture with CEID Consultants & Engineering Pvt. Ltd. to set up CBG and biofuel plants. Agreement filed under SEBI Regulation 30 on November 25, 2025.

New Delhi, November 25, 2025 — Indraprastha Gas Limited (IGL), a joint venture of GAIL (India) Ltd., BPCL, and the Government of NCT Delhi, has signed a Joint Venture Agreement with CEID Consultants & Engineering Private Limited for establishing Compressed Bio Gas (CBG) plants and biofuel projects.
As per the official filing to BSE and NSE, the new joint venture will be structured with equal equity participation, with IGL and CEID each holding 50% stake. The JV’s Board of Directors will initially include four members — two nominated by each partner.
IGL has confirmed in the exchange filing that the transaction does not fall under related party transactions, and neither of the entities is related to the promoter/promoter group.
The JV aims to support clean energy expansion and contribute to India’s bio-fuel ecosystem aligned with national sustainability commitments.
