Indian Oil (IOCL) Signs MoU with TVS Motor to Boost Green LPG Cylinder Delivery Across India
New Delhi: Maharatna PSU Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with TVS Motor Company to strengthen last-mile LPG cylinder delivery across India through cleaner and more efficient commercial mobility solutions.
The MoU, signed in Coimbatore on July 8, 2026, marks the beginning of a long-term collaboration between IOC and TVS Motor. Under the agreement, TVS Motor will support IOC's network of more than 13,000 LPG distributors by offering its TVS King Kargo HD cargo vehicles for doorstep LPG cylinder deliveries.
IOC to Strengthen LPG Distribution Network
Through this MoU, Indian Oil aims to modernize its LPG distribution system while supporting the Government of India's clean mobility goals. The adoption of TVS King Kargo HD vehicles is expected to improve delivery efficiency, reduce operating costs for distributors, and lower carbon emissions.
The initiative is also expected to provide LPG distributors with a lower total cost of ownership while improving productivity and the overall efficiency of last-mile deliveries.
Speaking on the collaboration, V. C. Asokan, Executive Director, SR & SH-TNSO, Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), said the company remains committed to delivering energy solutions that support both India's growth and sustainability. He added that introducing cleaner cargo vehicles will improve fleet productivity, reduce operating costs for distributors, and contribute to lower carbon emissions.
TVS Motor to Supply King Kargo HD Vehicles
As part of the MoU, TVS Motor Company will supply its TVS King Kargo HD range for LPG cylinder transportation. The vehicles are designed for commercial use and feature advanced technology to improve reliability and operational efficiency in last-mile cargo movement.
The first phase of vehicle deployment will begin with selected IOC LPG distributors, with a wider rollout planned in the coming months.
According to TVS Motor, the collaboration combines its commercial mobility expertise with Indian Oil's nationwide LPG distribution network to deliver practical and sustainable transport solutions for businesses.

The MoU reflects the shared commitment of Maharatna PSU IOC and TVS Motor to promote cleaner transportation and sustainable logistics.
