Indian Oil Signs MoU with Indian Navy to Drive Innovation in Marine Engineering
New Delhi, March 18, 2026 – Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. (IOCL) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Navy to strengthen collaboration in the fields of training, technology development, and solving complex field-level challenges.
The partnership focuses on fostering a collaborative relationship between India's premier energy company and the naval forces to create an environment conducive to innovation and knowledge exchange. Through joint research, specialized courses, and workshops, both organizations aim to enhance technical expertise in Marine Engineering, paving the way for a self-reliant (Atmanirbhar) Indian Navy.
The MoU was signed by Rear Admiral Vikas Chawla, Assistant Chief of Materiel (Dockyard & Refits), along with senior representatives from Indian Oil. This initiative underscores IOCL’s commitment to supporting national security and strategic maritime capabilities through technological advancement.
