The initiative aims to transform industrial townships and office complexes into sustainable, energy-efficient establishments while building stakeholder capacity in the process.

NTPC has already started pursuing Net Zero Energy and Water certifications for its Kudgi and Ratnagiri Townships and the NETRA Office Complex, furthering its commitment to sustainability.

This MoU reinforces NTPC’s dedication to creating sustainable infrastructure and combating climate change.

Earlier, in 2022 NTPC also signed a Statement of Intent with NITI Aayog to develop a roadmap for achieving net zero greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions, aligning with the Indian government’s Panchamrit goals.
