The proposed institute will function as a centre of excellence for healthcare skill development, offering free training to socio-economically disadvantaged youth in critical healthcare domains such as nursing assistants, technicians, and allied healthcare professionals. By creating a skilled workforce, the initiative aims to significantly enhance employability among local youth while strengthening healthcare service delivery across the region.

The campus will comprise academic blocks, hostels, staff residential facilities, and allied infrastructure, designed to support high-quality training in a modern learning environment. In a major step towards regional inclusion, preference will be given to candidates from SECL’s operational districts, with at least 20% of the annual intake reserved for these districts over a period of 25 years, extendable further based on merit.

With the signing of this MoU and issuance of the sanction order, SECL has taken yet another decisive step in capacity building in the healthcare sector, underlining its long-term commitment to skill development, youth empowerment, and inclusive growth in Chhattisgarh. The initiative reflects SECL’s broader vision of creating sustainable social impact by aligning community development with national priorities in healthcare and human resource development.
