Amit Satija (IAS) appointed as Government Nominee Director of HAL
Shri Amit Satija is an IAS officer of the 2008 batch from AGMUT cadre who is currently posted as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Defence in the Department of Defence Production.
Bangalore, 21 May 2025: The Board of Directors of Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd has approved the appointment of Shri Amit Satija, Joint Secretary (DIP), as Part-time Official Director (Government Nominee Director) of the Company in place of Shri Shalabh Tyagi w.e.f. 21st May, 2025 until further notice. His approval is subject to the shareholders in the General Meeting.
Shri Amit Satija is an IAS officer of the 2008 batch from AGMUT cadre who is currently posted as Joint Secretary in the Ministry of Defence in the Department of Defence Production.
Prior to joining the Government of India, he has served in various positions in different States and UTs in the country, including Delhi, Goa, Andaman Nicobar Islands, and Lakshadweep Islands.
Shri Satija is a graduate in Economics and has done a Master's of Management Studies from Jamnalal Bajaj Institute of Management Studies, Mumbai, before joining IAS.

Further, Shri Shalabh Tyagi has completed his tenure while serving a period from 10th September, 2024 to 21st May, 2025. He joins the board as Official Director (Part time), in a new position in 2024. He had been designated as a dedicated role focused on the company’s day-to-day operations and strategic implementation.
