Indian Economic Service Officer Meenaxi Rawat gets additional charge as GAIL CVO
The Central Government has assigned the additional charge of GAIL (India) Limited's Chief Vigilance Officer (CVO) post to Meenaxi Rawat (IES). Rawat is an Indian Economic Service Officer of the 1993 batch in the rank of Additional Secretary in the Government of India.
Currently, she is serving as the CVO of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL), Mumbai. According to an order issued from the Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), the additional charge will be held by Rawat for three months beyond January 14, 2025, or until a regular CVO is appointed at GAIL, or until further orders, whichever is earlier.
Rawat has served in the Government of India for 29 years in the Ministry of Finance, Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Railway Board, Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Ministry of Labour & Department of Atomic Energy in the areas of Finance, Budget, Project Appraisal, Consumer welfare, Labour laws, Industrial and Public Policy. She holds an M.A. & M. Phil in Economics from the University of Rajasthan, Jaipur, and an MBA from the University of Hull, United Kingdom.
