Following the termination, BCCL stated that the feasibility of the Loyabad mine will be reviewed, after which the company will determine the future course of action for the project.

Bharat Coking Coal Limited, a subsidiary of Coal India Limited, plays a key role in India’s coking coal production, primarily supporting the country’s steel manufacturing sector.

The disclosure was signed by Debanuj Debnath, Company Secretary and Compliance Officer of BCCL, and has been submitted to both BSE and NSE for regulatory compliance.

Industry observers note that the review of the mine’s feasibility could determine whether BCCL pursues alternative development models, revised partnerships, or operational restructuring for the Loyabad project.
