MTNL Board appoints Shri Alok Shukla as Government Nominee Director
The Board of Directors of MTNL has confirmed the appointment of Shri. Alok Shukla, Senior DDG (Personnel), Department of Telecommunications (DoT), as a Government Nominee Director of Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) on the Board of MTNL w.e.f. 30.01.2025 dated 30.01.2025 for three years with immediate effect or till the date of his superannuation or till further orders, whichever is the earliest.
Shri Alok Shukla belongs to the Indian Telecom Service (ITS) of the 1988 batch. Presently, he is working as Senior Deputy Director General (Personal) in the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India, New Delhi. He did a B.Sc. and B.Tech (Electronics and Communications) from the University of Allahabad.
He has vast experience of more than 21 years in the Planning, Operation, and Maintenance of long-distance telecommunication Networks and has held senior positions in the Department of Telecom (DoT) and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL). He has also worked for more than a decade, holding various positions, in the Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI).
