NEEPCO Appoints Samiran Sinha Ray as New Chief Human Resources Officer
NEEPCO has appointed Shri Samiran Sinha Ray, a senior NTPC HR leader with nearly 35 years of experience, as its new Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) to strengthen its HR leadership and future growth.
NEEPCO has appointed Shri Samiran Sinha Ray, Chief General Manager (HR), NTPC — currently on secondment — as its Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO). The appointment further reinforces NEEPCO’s commitment to strong human resource leadership in support of its future growth and development.
A seasoned HR professional with nearly 35 years of distinguished service in NTPC Limited, Shri Ray brings extensive experience across regional and project-level HR functions. He joined NTPC in 1990 and has since held several senior leadership roles.
Prior to his posting at NEEPCO, Shri Ray served as Regional Head of HR at NTPC’s Northern Region Headquarters (NRHQ), Lucknow — the company’s largest region comprising eight projects, two joint ventures and a solar project at Nokh. He also held additional charge as Regional Head of HR, Eastern Region-II, Bhubaneswar, overseeing five major projects.
Earlier, as Regional Head of HR for Eastern Region-I Headquarters, Patna, and with extensive experience as Head of HR at NTPC Farakka, NTPC Barh and other projects, he played a pivotal role in strengthening HR systems and enhancing employee engagement.
Shri Ray also brings valuable experience from NTPC’s joint ventures, including NTPC-SAIL Power Company Limited (NSPCL) and Bharatiya Rail Bijlee Company Limited, Nabinagar (BRBCL), a subsidiary of NTPC with Indian Railways.
With deep institutional knowledge and proven HR leadership, Shri Ray is well-positioned to steer NEEPCO’s human resource functions in his new role.
