Kolkata (October 7, 2025): Garden Reach Shipbuilders & Engineers Ltd. (GRSE) is pleased to announce that Shri Niranjan Bhalerao has assumed charge as Director (Finance) of the company with effect from October 6, 2025.
A seasoned finance professional, Shri Bhalerao, is a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Commerce from Pune. He brings with him an extensive and diverse experience spanning 29 years across multiple functional areas in the oil and gas sector.

His experience covers a wide spectrum of roles including Management Accounting, Banking, Corporate Taxation (Direct & Indirect), Internal Audit, Corporate Affairs, Shipping, Contracts, City Gas Distribution, and Joint Venture & Subsidiary Operations.

Notably, he also served as Nominee Director on the Board of Kochi Salem Pipeline Private Limited, a Joint Venture between Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited and Indian Oil Corporation Limited.
With his rich background in corporate finance, taxation, and strategic planning, Shri Bhalerao is expected to strengthen GRSE’s financial management framework and contribute significantly towards its long-term growth objectives.
